The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway (DME) is India’s longest expressway project. It is an 8-lane, access-controlled corridor that can be expanded to 12 lanes. It is designed to roughly halve the Delhi–Mumbai travel time, from about 24 hours to 12–13 hours. It is only partly open, and the first section (Sohna–Dausa) was inaugurated on February 12, 2023.
